Don’t you hate the bra bulge and the muffin top most of us sport? Even if we look great in our clothes the ever so nagging fat that plops, sags, and bulges from our clothes is uncomfortable! So, we spend hours on the treadmill or in a Les Mills class hoping to shed our unwanted fat (we’ll talk later about eating a Big Mac after one of those long sessions).

This month’s challenge is going to support you in fine tuning your workouts. Give us 30 days of booty busting workouts and we’ll give you a mind-blowing attitude, a sassy strut and a new outlook on exercise. You might even get rid of the muffin top.
Here is how it works:
1. Each Sunday we will post a workout of the week on our Facebook Fan Page along with instructions on how to complete the workout that week, how many times to do it and how to score yourself.
2. Your job is to do the workouts, preferably first thing in the morning, and to come back to Facebook and post your “score” each time you rock out the workout.
3. Read The New Fit Journal post “What Do I Eat, Part I and II.” Follow this nutritional guide 80% of the time. That means if you eat 21 meals a week (include snacks in your number of meals) then 17 of those meals should follow the guidelines in those posts. My favorite way to coach clients on this is to encourage you to look at your week and decide which days you will be 100% compliant and which days you will have/need opportunities to deviate. For some it is easy to be 100% compliant during the week and more relaxed on the weekend. For others who travel during the week find it less stressful to deviate during the week and be 100% compliant on days they are home. You decide and do what works for you. That doesn’t mean in the example above that 4 meals of the week can be pasta, pizza or fried chicken tenders. Use your noggin and eat what makes you feel good and in portion sizes that don’t leave you ready to take a nap. Maybe that is having desert at a favorite restaurant, or making a homemade lasagna at home using fresh ingredients. Chose wisely and savor every moment.
* Disclaimer: if you have more than 20lbs to lose, we highly recommend being no less than 95% compliant for at least four weeks and then scaling back slowly until you get to 80% compliant without gaining weight)
So there you have it. We are giving away our “secrets” in hopes that it will change your life. We are not in business to get you a better number on the scale but instead to help you have moments of sweet surrender of mind, body and spirit. When this experience of surrender and openness is coupled with the right workouts, good sleeping habits, and pure nutrition your life becomes barenakd and sexy. No matter your size.
